Matthew Colby is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician via the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. He is a 2004 graduate of Logan University (DC). Dr Colby has two bachelors of science degrees (Biology and Health Sciences). His postgraduate education includes certifications and courses in sports medicine, emergency procedures, brain injury and human biomechanics. He has also completed over 90 hours of post graduate training in clinical neurology. Certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA), Dr Colby has participated in over 200 hours of MUA procedures. He plans to complete an internship at the US Olympic Training Center in 2021.
Dr Colby is an adjunct faculty member for University of Western States. He has served as a supervising physician for Logan University’s preceptor program since 2007.
He has worked performing injury evaluations, physical rehabilitation, sports medicine and game-day preparation for professional and elite athletes from the US Olympic Team, NBA, NFL, NHL and his personal favorite, the UFC. He has worked directly for sports organizations including The Green Bay Packers, Arizona State University and Bellator MMA.
Dr Colby is a former two-sport NCAA division II athlete and a two-time Arizona state-champion in brazilian jiu jitsu.
His sports medicine practice (Arizona Biomechanics) is in Tempe, AZ. At Arizona Biomechanics he focuses on sports medicine, physical rehabilitation, chronic and complex pain and auto-accident rehabilitation.
